Process
While Kelly’s process often begins with drafting a working plan for her clients, she believes that this plan is only the first step in the direction of achieving a Landscape/Garden that is healthy, balanced, multi-layered, beautiful to look upon, and uniquely its own. Her years of experience prove that the best designs are those that happen over time and allow for flexibility in changes. The drafted plan is a necessary starting point, but the truly unique and most aesthetically pleasing projects occur when Kelly is allowed to continue to design on site and in real-time. “My hope is that when we have finished a project, all of those involved... the homeowner, landscape contractor, heavy equipment operators, laborers and craftsmen... will say that we have been on a journey together. And that journey has been characterized by hard work, intelligence, friendship, laughter, shared ideas, shared cultures, flexibility, and listening.”
"Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. ... There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature — the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter." —Rachel Carson, Silent Spring
